Insult or Intelligence?

14 07 2009

The other day I was having a discussin with a friend of mine (Lets call him John) about oral sex. The discussion was quite easy until I said something that made him gasp. I told him that i would not have oral sex/sex with anyone till i am sure that he/she has had an STD test. He seemed mortified, like i had just accused him of having a disease. It took me quite while to convince him that i was not talking about him.

Why is it that men/women take it as an insult if you ask them to take an STD test? They act all insulted and try to guilt you into taking your wards back.

  1. It isn’t logical for me to risk my health to make someone feel better.
  2. Secondly, I am living in the 21st century, I would rather not have sex than has sex with someone who does not understand my need to be safe.
